First Clash of Heroes Review is published in Nintendo Power and it has made us want to PARTY.
Friday, September 25th, 2009
OMfrakinG! The first ever review of Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is in the November issue of Nintendo Power and at a solid 8.5 out of 10, it has brought much joy to our collective hearts!
Here are the highlights:
“Battles are wholly original, deep, and surprisingly intuitive, making for a richer combat system than any RPG in years.”
“The varied abilities of each hero’s troops keep the battle system fresh, and the developers (that’s us!) never run out of new gimmicks to keep players on their toes.”
“The clever puzzle battles and fast-moving story make Clash of Heroes easy to pick up and tough to put down.”
It is time to party. For real, it’s time to party because it was Kris’ birthday yesterday and we planned on partying even before this review, but now we’re going to party 2x as hard.
Clash of Heroes Previews Make Us Happy
Thursday, July 9th, 2009
At the recent “UbiNintendo” event, and elsewhere, Capy’s Might & Magic Clash of Heroes was shown to the press… and wonderfullly positive previews are popping up all over the net. Here’s some choice selections:
“Clash of Heroes is honestly far more of an original intellectual property than a Might & Magic game at all. In fact, the further I play the game the more convinced I am that this was not only the right way to go on DS (a new direction, that is) but one hell of a reimagining of what could now be a full-on series. It’s good. It’s very good.”
“It reminded me of Secret of Mana, Puzzle Quest and the anime Record of Lodoss War all at once – and at the same time, Clash of Heroes felt like a totally unique experience. Very impressive.”
“The gameplay is unique in the genre, and the feeling of setting up a particularly good wave of attacks is great. The finished game will support local head-to-head battles, which we can only imagine will be a total blast.”
“In many ways it’s actually more complex and satisfying than the traditional M&M model.”
“The latest installment in Ubisoft’s fantasy series is coming to the DS, and we had a great time exploring the mysterious world and characters of Ashan.”
“I’m championing a DS game that deserves your pre-order. Listen well DS-owners: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes could be one of the best DS games, if not the best DS game, of 2009.”
